Sharing Assets Through QBank

Intro: Sharing is Caring!

A core function of QBank is to distribute assets across various platforms, making them readily available for use. By integrating QBank with systems such as CMS, social media platforms, and PIMs, you create a single source of truth for all assets, ensuring traceability across your digital ecosystem. This module covers:

  • Publishing assets to connected systems.

  • Downloading assets in specific formats.

  • Sharing assets through moodboards.

Let’s get started!

Publishing assets:

Where to find publishing options

Publishing options can be found in the left-hand panel under the globe icon. The available publishing sites depend on your integrations, connectors, or media portals.

Steps to publish

  • Select assets: Choose the assets you want to share from the library.

    • Drag and drop the assets into the publishing channel.

    • Right-click on the asset and select "Publish."

    • Use the "Publish" button in the top-right corner.

  • Choose a destination: Select the platform (e.g., CMS, PIM, Microsoft Office) where the assets will be made available.

  • Customizing formats:

    • Open the asset in the detail view and use the ReCrop plug-in to adjust cropping templates as needed.

    • Set a permanent cropping point (focus point) for consistent future cropping.

  • Keep assets up-to-date: If metadata or the asset changes post-publication, re-publish to ensure updates are reflected.

Unpublishing assets

To remove an asset from a platform, locate it in the library or publishing site, select it, and click "Unpublish" in the top-right corner.

Downloading assets

Different options for downloading

For non-integrated systems, you can download assets directly from QBank:

  • Download the original file: Select the asset and click the download icon in the top-right corner. Choose the "Original" option.

  • Download pre-defined templates: Select a template format set by your admin team.

  • Custom edits:

    • Make cropping adjustments in the detail view before downloading.

    • Save changes and download the customized version.

Using moodboards:

Sharing through a moodboard

Moodboards provide an efficient way to share assets with stakeholders who don’t have direct access to QBank. Here’s how:
  • Add assets to a moodboard:

    • Drag and drop assets into an existing moodboard in the left panel.

    • Right-click on assets and choose "Add to Moodboard."

    • Use the top-right button to add assets or create a new moodboard.

  • Share the moodboard:

    • Access the moodboard from the left panel.

    • Copy the URL by clicking the chain icon.

    • Preview the moodboard with the “eye” icon.

  • Stakeholder access:

    • Share the URL with stakeholders.

    • Stakeholders can view and download assets in the original or pre-defined templates.
